BETA-UAS receives 1st place Startup Track award at Astranauts 2025

BETA-UAS has won 1st place in the Startup Track category at Astranauts 2025, a national digital innovation competition organized by Astra to support technology-driven solutions that are relevant to Indonesia’s industry and digital ecosystem.

For BETA-UAS, this achievement is more than a competition result. It is a recognition of our long journey in developing local UAV technology for real field applications, from mapping, monitoring, and inspection to AI-based asset management.

Astranauts 2025 brought together 2,186 participants from across Indonesia. From this pool, 20 finalists were selected to present their solutions before the judges, with six winners named across the Startup Track and Student Track categories.

In the Startup Track, BETA-UAS secured 1st place, followed by Molca Teknologi in 2nd place and Tax Point in 3rd place.

Advancing Local Drone Technology for Industry

BETA-UAS is an Indonesian drone technology company that designs and manufactures unmanned aircraft systems for various industrial needs.

Our solutions have been developed to support mapping, monitoring, and inspection across sectors such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture, mining, water resources, and government technical operations.

Through Astranauts 2025, BETA-UAS carried the same mission: to build UAV technology that does not only fly, but also delivers data, insight, and real value for users in the field.

AI-Based Asset Management as the Next Direction

One of BETA-UAS’ key development directions is the use of drones for AI-based asset management.

In this context, drones are not only used to capture images or videos from the air. The collected data can be processed further to help assess asset conditions, identify potential damage, monitor changes over time, and support data-driven decision-making.

This approach is increasingly relevant for industries with widely distributed assets, such as infrastructure, energy, plantations, mining, and utilities. By combining UAV platforms, sensors, data processing, and AI, inspection work can become more efficient, better documented, and more measurable.

The Strength of Local Manufacturing

As a local drone manufacturer, BETA-UAS believes that UAV technology development in Indonesia should not stop at the product level. It must also include the supporting ecosystem around it.

Local manufacturing allows development, customization, maintenance, and aftersales support to be carried out closer to the users. This matters because each sector has different operational needs. A drone for wide-area mapping, infrastructure inspection, plantation monitoring, or dense vegetation surveys requires different configurations, payloads, and workflows.

With local development and integration capabilities, BETA-UAS can offer more flexible solutions, from unit sales and customization to operational services and usage models that better match customer needs.

Relevant to Astra’s Industry Ecosystem

Astranauts 2025 covered several strategic sectors, including automotive, financial services, heavy equipment and mining, agribusiness, infrastructure and logistics, information technology, property, and healthcare.

For BETA-UAS, several of these sectors are directly connected to the use of drone technology. In agribusiness, drones can support land mapping, crop monitoring, and multispectral data acquisition. In heavy equipment and mining, drones can be used for surveys, site monitoring, and volume measurement. In infrastructure and logistics, drones can help with asset inspection, construction progress monitoring, and rapid wide-area data collection.

Winning Astranauts 2025 opens further opportunities for BETA-UAS to bring locally developed UAV technology into more industrial use cases.

More Than a Competition

For BETA-UAS, Astranauts 2025 was a platform that brought together technology, industry needs, and collaboration opportunities.

Competitions like this are important because startups are not only evaluated based on ideas, but also on the readiness of their solutions for real-world implementation. This aligns with BETA-UAS’ direction in building drone technology that is practical, scalable, and relevant to operational users.

This achievement gives BETA-UAS stronger momentum to keep improving product capabilities, expanding collaboration, and bringing Indonesian UAV technology to wider markets.

Appreciation

BETA-UAS would like to express its appreciation to Astra, Astranauts 2025, the judges, mentors, and everyone involved in providing a platform for Indonesian technology startups to showcase their solutions.

We also extend our appreciation to the entire BETA-UAS team, our customers, partners, and everyone who has supported our journey from the beginning.

This achievement is not the end of the journey. It is a reminder that local technology can grow, compete, and create real value for industry.

For BETA-UAS, this milestone brings new energy to continue building unmanned aircraft systems that are more reliable, more adaptive, and more useful for Indonesia and global markets.
